Whole Music's Summer Jam 2011 program will include two sessions:
- Session 1: July 11 - 15
- Session 2: July 18 - 22
In our Summer Jam sessions, you'll learn to play in a band and record music in a state-of-the-art production studio featuring cutting edge production technology. And you'll also have a lot of fun jamming!
Summer Jam consists of five days of creative instruction and jamming with professional coaching, instruction, counseling, performance and fun. Summer Jam is for students of all instruments, including voice students, and has an emphasis on rock music.
Class is held daily from 9 am to 1 pm in our state-of-the-art, air-conditioned recording studios in Byfield, MA.
Summer Jam sessions are open to most instruments and are limited to 12 selected participants per week. This limited registration insures a quality experience. Participants must be able to play their instruments at an intermediate level and be between the ages of 9 and 17. Full bands are also encouraged to sign on.
All Summer Jam participants will participate in the arrangement of the material to be played. Everyone plays and everyone is recorded!

Objectives
- Improve your confidence and performance ability
- Receive individual instruction from fully qualified staff members
- Participate in a workshop on the recording and production process
- Learn the art of arrangement for recording and performing your music
CDs, Photos and Live Concert
Each Summer Jam participant will receive a mastered CD from their session with a promotional group photo CD cover of their band. Individual photo shoots may be scheduled.
Performance Experience
At the end of each Summer Jam session, usually on Friday evening or Saturday afternoon, a concert will be performed for friends and family members. Everyone plays!
Registration
The cost of Summer Jam is $495. A non-refundable registration fee of $150 reserves your place in a particular session. The balance is due 14 days before the first day of the session.
