Peter Cicco Instructor
Peter Cicco, an accomplished guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, has joined the teaching staff of Whole Music and is now accepting students for private guitar, bass, voice and piano lessons. Peter will also lead our Tuesday night Blues Workshop in Amesbury.
Peter has been a private music instructor for over twenty five years, teaching a wide variety of musical styles, and has led student ensembles in Jazz, Rock, Funk, R&B and Latin music. He has a wealth of musical education having studied jazz, classical, and popular music privately in the Boston area, at Boston University, The New England Conservatory, and most notably has studied jazz improvisation and composition with Charlie Banacos.

Michael Gruen Instructor
Michael Gruen is a graduate of Jeff Berlin's Academy of Bass (2 year program). Michael currently attends Berklee College of Music in Boston to further his music. He has been a professional musician since he was 17 years old. Michael currently plays bass with EJ & Crazy Maggy, as well as in numerous other New England bands. Michael teaches bass, double bass, guitar, piano and theory. He is well rounded in many different styles, from classical to jazz and rock to folk, blues, etc. Michael has 10 years of teaching experience.

Jon Aanestad Instructor
Jon Aanestad is an accomplished instrumentalist and singer-songwriter. Jon is currently teaching voice, violin and fiddle, guitar and mandolin. Jon also leads an Acoustic Workshop in our Amesbury location.

Jasper Nguyen Instructor and Assistant Engineer
Jasper Nguyen teaches guitar, bass, and drums at Whole Music, and he also leads several Jamshop™ groups. Jasper is an assistant to EJ Ouellette as a recording engineer. Jasper is also a player, and he has studied music with EJ for over 10 years. Jasper is a native of Amesbury, MA.

Amara Nguyen Instructor Amara Nguyen has been a student and developing musician under EJ Ouellette for over 9 years. She is a wonderful teacher and an experienced performer. Amara continues to play with the Whole Music Fiddle Ensemble, and makes guest appearances with Crazy Maggy. Amara specializes with beginning students on piano, fiddle and guitar.

Amanda Grace Thonn Instructor and Assistant Office Manager Amanda Grace Thonn is a lifelong student of the violin, and has been studying music with EJ Ouellette in our Artist Development program. Amanda Grace also plays piano, guitar and mandolin, and she is a developing singer-songwriter. Amanda Grace specializes with beginning students on piano and violin.

Steve Baker Instructor Steve Baker is an accomplished saxophone player and has been playing professionally for years. Steve has performed for many years with EJ Ouellette & Crazy Maggy, recording in the studio with the band as well. Steve has years of teaching experience and loves teaching sax.

Brian MacKinnon Instructor
Brian MacKinnon is an accomplished professional musician and teacher. Brian studied Music Education at UMASS Lowell. Brian teaches guitar, bass, double bass and keyboard/piano at Whole Music, and also assists EJ with adult jam workshops and ensembles. Brian is a jazz enthusiast and is strong on theory and sightreading, but still knows how to rock! Brian has over 10 years of teaching experience.

Peter Whitehead Instructor
Peter Whitehead is a consummate professional musian. While he specializes in drumming and percussion, Peter is also a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Peter was formerly the drummer in Letters to Cleo and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. Peter has been playing with EJ & Crazy Maggy for the past 7 years. Peter will be offering monthly drumming and percussion workshops; please call for more information.

EJ Ouellette Director & Teacher EJ Ouellette is a multi-instrumentalist and professional singer/songwriter. He teaches electric and acoustic guitar, electric bass, violin/fiddle, voice, drums & percussion, mandolin, banjo, dobro (steel guitar), piano/keyboards and harmonica. EJ is the creator and the Director of Whole Music's Summer Jam™ program. Other areas of EJ's expertise include instrument and music exploration for children and adults, ear training, music theory, songwriting, arrangement and composition.
EJ Ouellette also specializes in Artist Development and career consultation. His courses in technical training and services include:
