Lisa O’Donnell

Lisa O'Donnell is Creative Director of Whole Music Studios and Whole Music Records™ and a member of the Recording Academy, Class of 2026. Since joining Whole Music Studios in 2014, Lisa has become an integral part of the creative and production team, working as a co-producer, songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, engineer, videographer, editor, graphic designer and educator.

As Co-Producer alongside E J Ouellette, Lisa has helped shape an expanding catalog of releases by E J Ouellette and Whole Music RecordsTM artists. Her role extends well beyond the studio: she contributes to artistic development, arrangements, production decisions, visual presentation, album artwork, video production and the overall creative direction of Whole Music RecordsTM.

Recent Production Work: Lisa has served as Co-Producer on E J Ouellette's recent recording projects, including the award-winning Barefoot on the Gravel Walk and the 2026 album The Fiddle Funnel Sessions, as well as numerous releases by artists developed and recorded through Whole Music Records™. Her Whole Music production work also includes projects and releases by artists including Rob Cunningham, Mark Anderson, Mark LaPointe, Phoebe Dooling, Tom Jordan and others within the Whole Music Artist Development program. Her earlier production credits include E J Ouellette's award-winning album Nor'easta, where she also contributed extensively as a songwriter and vocalist.

Recording Academy: In 2026, Lisa was welcomed into the Recording Academy's Class of 2026, recognizing her continuing professional work in recording, production and the music industry. Her membership represents another milestone in a career that has developed organically through more than a decade of hands-on work at Whole Music Studios and Whole Music Records™.

Songwriter & Recording Artist: Lisa's songwriting credits include compositions and collaborations appearing on Nor'easta, including “Boston to Bangor”, “A La Danse”, “And We Danced”, “Lament for the Hopeful” and “Munjoy Hil. Her songwriting credits on Conjureman, Conjureman include “Charming the Snake”, “Amarantha, Amarantha” and “You Lied”.

As a vocalist, musician and featured artist, Lisa has appeared on numerous Whole Music recordings, including Nor'easta, Pirate Queen, Somethin' 'bout Tomorrow, Let Peace Flow, Waking Sleeping Maggy and other releases. Her instrumental credits also include violin and piano.

Visual & Creative Direction: Lisa plays a major role in establishing the visual identity of Whole Music Studios, Whole Music Records™ and its artists. Her work encompasses album and single artwork, graphic design, photography, videography, video editing, co-direction, set and prop design, costuming and creative development. Her music-video credits include projects such as “Let Peace Flow”, “Mississippi Sarah”, “Lament for the Hopeful”, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, “Waking Sleeping Maggy”, “Somethin' 'bout Tomorrow”, “Shoe City”, “Down the Road”, “Charming the Snake” and the Conjureman, Conjureman visual projects.

Whole Music Artist Development:

Lisa works closely with E J Ouellette and Whole Music Records™ artists throughout the artist-development process, helping artists move from the earliest stages of songwriting and arrangement through recording, production, release preparation, artwork, video and promotion. That collaborative role has become a central part of the Whole Music model: developing not simply recordings, but complete artists and projects. Lisa has been part of Team Whole Music since 2014, contributing to an increasingly recognized body of independent music that has received numerous international awards, nominations and industry honors.
