FYC “Not the King of Rock & Roll” by Mark Anderson for Best Rock Song
WHO isn’t going to be a rock and roll star at eighteen? After years of careful consideration, and years of gigging, and years of writing songs, and a few stabs at recording, Mark Anderson finally figured out it wasn’t going to be him; he wasn’t eighteen anymore ( well maybe some multiple of eighteen ); he wasn’t Prince or the Duke of Earl; he wasn’t on some Crusade for stardom, or going to lay siege to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; but he could write a song about that.
So he did.
“Not the King of Rock and Roll” is for all of us who keep on playing for the love of it and appreciate our audiences, large or small. We’re not Rock and Roll Royalty, but we’re noble just the same.
Hope you consider “Not the King of Rock and Roll” for Best Rock Song in this years Grammy® Awards.
When Mark Anderson brought me this song I cracked up. I just had to produce it. We could use more levity like this these days:-) Featuring Steve Baker soaring sexy sax. Also featuring EJO Wrecking Crew.
Released just now on your fave streaming sites. Here's the link friends. Please share there are pennies to be made. Maybe:-)
