Amadou Ndiaye Whole Music’s Director of International Music Divison

Amadou Ndiaye is Whole Music Studios Lead A&R Partner. Amadou has been state side with his family and now American citizens. We are building an international music label through EJO Whole Music Studios.

In January 2000 I hosted a Mauritanian singer/artist at my home and studio. Malouma was in exile from her country because of her activist work for woman’s rights. An amazing singer and an artist known as The Diva of the Desert throughout West Africa, Europe and the Mideast. https://youtu.be/1oVbXLp-7fY

For 4 months we wrote/composed music and became good friends. I did not know of her status until I looked it up online. While with me, Malouma was invited back to her country. So in late June of 2001, I was invited and contracted by a Mauritanian business man to buildout and install a recording studio in the Capital city Nouakchott and to produce an album for Malouma and create a music community in the capital somewhat like I have here in the states. More about the Malouma story later.

I was on assignment in Nouakchott Mauritania circa July-August 2001 designing and building out a recording studio on the west coast of West Africa. On the edge of the Sahara. It was here I fell in love with West African music. Amadou introduced me to Ba Djibril Ngawa and had me join his band. I got to play and perform with Mauritania's best artists and musicians.

West Africa was my inspiration for creating EJ Ouellette & Crazy Maggy. I played my Acadian/Celt/American Roots fiddle with some of the best drummers and players in West Africa. I left my heart in West Africa and now it's here with me.

The Mission: Our plan is to collaborate with African and World Music artists and spread their beautiful music, message of peace and love planet wide.
